Cartes noël

Here are my Christmas cards.

I've made 18 (and still counting) of these so far.

At the moment my desk is like some conveyor belt churning out a mass of cards.

Here's a look at my 'production line'.

Merry Christmas to all my fellow beans :)

Aujourd'hui

Interjecting the card posts with a new occasional section that you'll be seeing here.
Introducing 'Aujourd'hui' (today).
I guess it's inspired by this blog I found aaaages ago called Shopping Losts and I needed something to actually write about(?) to 'draw' some fonts.

I've taken the idea of (,quote,) turning unloved lists into typographical treats for this new section, but my spin is using my own notes/reminders/songs of the day.

Not entirely happy with my first one but it'll have to do for now-after all, practice makes perfect right?
Let's see what songs and other things you can find today.

Another card

This was specially made for my friend's 18th:

It was preeeetty long-wasn't able to get a picutre of the 'pull-out card' in its entirety.

As for the state of my room, it was exam time. Full stop ( or if you like, period).

One of my favourite pages to visit.

Now, did you know that:

The symbol is a ligature of the letters et, Latin for "and".
(and, well, in French too.)

CARDS CARDS CARDS

So I decided a few minutes ago to post pics of the cards I've made during the year.

Let's say two cards/day?

So here's la première carte:

Joyeuses pâques!

La deuxième carte:

Bonne anniversaire!

BACK!

Clearly I've neglected this thing for way too long.

I'M FREEE AT LAST.
Finished my last VCE exam E-V-E-R.

I think this scene pretty much sums up how I felt at 5:15 pm, when the*vielle surveillante said, "Pens down."

Now I can ramble away on this blog.

There's so much to post...

Ah...it's never felt so good to be finally able to clean my room.

That's all I'm going to post for now.
TTFN. Ta ta for now. :)

vielle surveillante=old superviser
Pssst...this is the feminin form if you're ever going to use it for a man it would be vieux surveillant

Au cas où j'oublierais...

A super duper quick post.
*Au cas où j'oublierais = In case I forget.
10 minutes ago I was fumbling around Word and italicising, bolding fonts...and then Ii came across Elephant...much nicer in Italics. So today's post is just to remind future me to always italicise Elephant.
That's all.

A nice font and an awesome animal (personally I like those of the African variety-they look more 'elephant-ey to me.)

Rhyme time

Woopsy daisy I've been so lazy.

I guess 35 days turned into...35 and a few more?

I realised the other day that I actually don't know all the words to Eenie, Meenie, Miney, Mo...which brings us to today's post.

Come decision time, I'll chant:
Eenie, meenie, miney, mo, catch a tiger by the toe, hmmm hmm hmmm hmmm hmmm hmm hmmmm, EENIE, MEENIE, MINEY, MO!

Eenie, Meenie, Miney, Mo
Eenie, meeiey, miney, mo,
Catch a tiger by the toe.
If he hollers let him go,
Eenie, meenie, miney, mo.

During my very deep and meaningful learning experience I also found these other versions...

In the US of A some say:
Eenie, meenie, miny moe,
Catch a tiger by the toe.

If he hollers make him pay,
Fifty dollars every day.

Ohh and there's this mini one too::

Eenie meenie miny mo
Please sit down it's time to go

Over in the UK however:

Eeenie, meenie, miney, mo.
Put the baby on the po.
When he's done,
Wipe his bum.
And tell his mother what he's done

By the way #1.
I put this question to you: how would you spell 'Eenie, Meenie, Miney, Mo '?

By the way #2.
I'm guessing a 'po' is some sort of device to hold excrement?

Hopefully, after reading this post, the next time you chant Eenie, Meenie, Miney, Mo you won't stop at "catch a tiger by the toe".

Quite the insightful post today ey?

Pause

Due to a shortage of time turners, A.O.H.B cannot keep up with indulging you in random bits'n pieces on this blog, as the malign demands of *Année Douze engulf her with an inundation of nasty things called 'outcomes' and 'mid-years'.

So shall we make it a date and meet here in let's say ...35 days from now?

Until then.

A piece AOHB's desk

Where they'll go nobody knows.

Heinemann Chemistry 2?
Maybe Au Point?
The BFG?
Under my foot?
Perhaps nowhere at all?

M. Patate

MR POTATO HEAD
George Lerner the creator of Mr Potato Head would often take potatoes from his mother’s garden and using various other fruits and vegetables as facial features, he would make dolls with which his younger sisters could play.

He is one *sweet potato.
*Sorry, couldn't help it...:)
