Geometry + Pasta = Brilliance

Today we welcome a new member to my crew of favourite links.

*Drumroll*

THE GEOMETRY OF PASTA!!!

A combination of two of my favourite things in one title: geometry and pasta!
Mmmmm...

This website's a snippet to what you'll find inside THE book... and within this book you'll find yourself on a journey to learning how to pair pasta shapes with pasta sauces.

Everything's tied nicely together with another one of my favourite things...type!

Go on visit the website. I like it quite a bit :)

Check out* an animated recipe for 'Farfalle with prosciutto and cream' >> here
OR
maybe familiarise yourself with some pasta shapes >> here
OR
simply admire the website's brilliant black and white design BY here

I know what book's going on my growing wishlist!

*Please do it!

Mirror mirror on the wall...

Just after watching this week's ep. of Once Upon a Time, I thought I'd share this installation - Bâtiment by Leandro Erlich. So clever. I can imagine those kids (both little and big) having heaps of fun...lucky beans!

Animalia | Part I: The Plan

Change of plan. I'm going to step back from the shapes and use animals for my notebooks (like this^).

Potential candidates to make the covers in no particular order:
Zebra Equus burchelli
Black Rhinoceros Diceros bicornis
Lion Panthera leo
African Elephant Loxodonta africana
Carribean Flamingo Phoenicopterus ruber
Holstein-Fresian Cow Bos taurus
Dodo Didus ineptus
White-tailed Deer Odocoileus virginianus
Brown Bear Ursus arctos

Stay tuned for more.

TA DA!

This is where time is spent when one has 90 days of free time :)

And now here's the real thing.

As you can tell from the photos I have a certain bias towards the pocket pouch - definitely my favourite part. I'm feeling very colourful so far this year...wonder if that'll be the case when the cooler months come.

I'm already thinking about what to do for next year's diary since I don't have an 'expired' diary to deconstruct anymore.
Hmmmm...
But meanwhile I think I'll cover all my uni notebooks with triangles, circles, squares and trapeziums.
