Change of plan. I'm going to step back from the shapes and use animals for my notebooks (like this^).

Potential candidates to make the covers in no particular order:
Zebra Equus burchelli
Black Rhinoceros Diceros bicornis
Lion Panthera leo
African Elephant Loxodonta africana
Carribean Flamingo Phoenicopterus ruber
Holstein-Fresian Cow Bos taurus
Dodo Didus ineptus
White-tailed Deer Odocoileus virginianus
Brown Bear Ursus arctos

Stay tuned for more.

YAY!

I think my mum was right when she told me time goes faster as you get older.
First year uni's already done!

As Scat Cat* said,"Why that's craaazy and outraaageous!"

But...the festive season can truly begin!!

To match, iTunes have a really good looking holiday range.
I reckon these guys are keepers - especially the one on the end :)

BOXES

Studying for the exam that will mark the end of first year uni(!)...decided to make my notes just a tad different than the usual B & W notes.
(If you've noticed the content in the pictures - yes, it's Linguistics again, just by co-inky-dink*).

*Can someone please tell me how you would spell this 'alternative' form of coincidence...there seems to be no way that looks 'right', my friend and I have deliberated over this before, I think we came up with a couple of contenders but this one's the only one I can remember for now....
coinkydink minus the hyphens looks like it's read as coinky-dink (coink as in rhyming with the sound a pig makes - oink).

INFOGRAPHICS

It's been about a month and ten days (?) since I've last seen by blog...not as bad as I thought actually. :)

Today's going to be all about infographics - a growing interest of mine over the year.

These two guys (up there) were stored away in my (accumulating) 'Things to post' pile for a while now.
They came about as I was doing my Linguistics research report which involved making tables and graphs to display my findings etcetera etcetera...(I've never stopped saying etc. without doubling it after watching The King and I). So I thought, what better way to semi-procrastinate while actually doing my assignment than making pie charts that weren't straight of the 'Word' shelf.

The study was on apologies - really makes you think how do you apologise in different situations e.g. to that 'neutral' friend who's a friend but not exactly...anyway...I digress (and ramble). Digress < I like that word.

Right, infographics.

Well these are a few that I stumbled across and evidently, like.
I hope you like them too. :)

PAPER GEMS

I came across asite with polyhedra templates months ago.
I don't know WHY it took me so long to realise I could use them/manipulate them in an attempt to make these paper gems made by the amazing Benja. But as they say, better late than never!

Anyway these are my humble trials of various polyhedra and a single diamond (in the rough << 10 points for you if you know what I'm referncing when I say 'diamond in the rough' :)

I have good reason for making these, they're my 'sketch model's for a project I'm working on for uni.
More on that later :)
