Lunchtime atop a Skyscraper

I love this photo.
(Lunchtime atop a Skyscraper was taken by Charles Ebbets back in 1932.)

I came across it in a lecture a few weeks back, googled it... and I came up with this... :)

WHERE THEY CREATE || P.Barbera

Usually when I find a link I like I'll just add it to THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVOURITE...LINKS (look to the right) but from now on, to draw more attention to them, I've decided to dedicate a lil' post to share the linky goodness with you all.

Here's one of my recent finds that I really really really like :)
(What makes it even better is that the creator is not another bean based on the other side of the world!
It's always nice to know the makers of these amazing sites are nearby.)

My name is Paul Barbera. I am an interior based photographer - As I travel for assignments, I look up artists & creatives. This is a visual document of their creative environments.

TTFN folks!
Stay tuned for Three is a Magic Number: Part II. I haven't forgotten.

Three is a Magic Number: Part I

I did mention in my previous post that I'd be featuring my two awesome friends...
So here they are fellow beans:

V.B. & V.B
Sur la gauche, Vess. Sur la droite Val.

This amazing duo is ,well, amazing. :)
This photo was taken with my newly acquired dSLR (YAY!!!) on our outing to Rose St Market>Smith St. There's nothing more satisfying than that "chhhk" sound of a dSLR's shutter being released.
I'm still taking my first steps with this functional accessory-so AUTO and all those other in-built settings will suffice for now-gotta learn to walk before you can run.

I've selected this shot as 'La Photo du Jour'.

There were many happy snaps on that sunny Saturday, so I've picked out a few more that I think aren't too shabby.

Just so I don't lose my basic French vocabulary let me commence by saying:
On va à Rose St/Smith St par l'autobus. Le chauffeur d'autobus s'appelle 'Russell'.
We went to Rose St/Smith St by bus. The bus driver was called 'Russell'.
(Take note of the quotation marks-Russell's just a random pseudonym I conjured up for our bus driver.)

Now I chose this one more for the type rather than the actual shot itself.
Mmmm...type. :)

I couldn't decide between the two.
So you can decide for me.

A bright and sunny alleyway.

Hahaha.
You see, Val was taking a photo of Vess at this very stop just as our bus was arriving.
Funnily enough we got the same driver.

So this is where Russell comes in (again). As we got on-Val still holding the camera-he asked if she was taking a picture of him.
As you know, that wasn't her intention.
When we got off, Val kindly asked if he wanted his photo taken. He happily said yes.
By this time Vess and I had already hopped of the bus, leaving Val to deal with the awkward exchange of an email address with Russell for his photo.

Yea that's my story. :)

Phewie, this is one long post and I haven't even touched the tip of the iceberg of our next stop.

TTFN. Ta ta for now!
